The DeWalt 20v Combo kit comes with a great range of tools for any job. We aren’t tradesmen however so we don’t use these tools day in day out. We do love to use these combo kits for tacking jobs around the home, as well as tools for the value. We usually end up buying extra batteries as well for the heavier used tools, as well as batteries for extra uses down the track.
The work light speaker seemed like funny additions to make it a 7-piece toolkit however it does provide that added entertainment when necessary. The speaker is super high quality and can connect to any Bluetooth device. The work light that this toolkit comes with is very bright and can illuminate any area.
The circular saws are great and are the highlight of this combo kit. When we purchased more powerful batteries, they enhanced the way the tools cut through the material and can easily cut through 2 inches of wood.

Is Kobalt better than DeWalt?
Judging by the experience differences between the two companies, DeWalt is definitely a recommendation over most. However, Kobalt is a very price-aware brand and establishes itself well with its price point and quality. It is hard to beat DeWalt in all aspects of tools, however, for the purposes of this article, we will compare their tool kits.
Is Kobalt a good power tool brand?
Kobalt is a brand name owned by Lowe’s. We assume that their tools are built and engineered by a 3rd party which may or may not be a well-known brand. Their quality in batteries and tools can be compared to companies such as Milwaukee and Makita.
When it comes to DeWalt’s products, they have larger levels of differences, and it is hard to compare the two at times. They both have excellent products. The Kobalt warranty is where they set themselves apart from other tool brands.

Both these sets are great for the consumer and help around the home with ease. But if you are looking for heavier-duty products that stand the test of time, then DeWalt is the brand for you.
